With a degree in Military Sciences from the Military Academy (Cavalry Course) , in addition to the curricular promotion courses, the General Staff Course (1997-99).

 

Between 2000 and 2010 he was placed in the Defense Strategic Information Service (SIED ), where he was Director of several Areas of Analysis, as well as Counselor at the Embassy of Portugal in Luanda, as Representative of the Information System of the Portuguese Republic (SIRP) and Head of Station.

He is an associate researcher at the National Defense Institute (IDN) , having as main areas and themes of study the geopolitics and geostrategy of the Russian Federation, global energy markets, the impact of new energy sources on global geopolitics and competition for natural resources, in which he has several published works.
